Employees are not knowledgeable in their department nor do they have enough for a department. Went in for assistance in Hardware and spent over 20 mins before I had to hunt someone down myself; spent another 20 mins waiting for assistance in Millworks with windows and a patio door and not a single associate came. The others that walked by did not even acknowledge me or asked if I needed assistance. Such terrible customer service

Fantastic experience! Helpful and well organized employees. Large banners to notify you of what aisle you are going to, and the Halloween section. Fantastic!

I ordered paint through homedepot.com. The paint, after putting a smudge on the wall was much more dark than I had expected. I went to the paint department at this store. After standing at the counter for over 10 minutes, and noticing it was apparent the staff was not helping any other customers, I had to ask if they were available to assist me. I got a new paint color to exchange for the color I did not like. I headed to the Customer Service desk to make an exchange. I was immediately told from the Customer Service Agent that they do not return mixed paints. I commented, "Really?" and she proceeded to ask what seemed to be a supervisor or more senior member of the staff. He came over and said, "Unfortunately, we are unable to return mixed paints," I said, "OK." as I did not want to have this discussion in the store. Also note, the paint was not some special color that I had them create. It was a color that was found through the paint swatches. Here is Home Depot's Return Policy copied from HomeDepot.com... Return Policy on Paint Paint Satisfaction Guarantee Policy: If you are not satisfied with your interior or exterior liquid paint purchase, bring your paint and receipt back to the store within 30 days of purchase. We reserve the right to limit guarantee at our discretion in the event of suspected fraud or abuse. The receipt clearly states the return policy as well. I completed a survey and this review. I will wait and see if Home Depot is going to resolve this inconvenience.

My wife was stressing out over finding the right time for our home. Greg was very attentive, friendly, and went above & beyond our expectations. There should be more employees like him.

Supervisor treat customer rude

The store associates Irma and Octavio are amazing. The purpose of my visit was to buy a Tommy Bahama beach umbrella. Before I got to the store I checked online to make sure the product was in store. When I got to the store, I tried looking for it myself and I was unsuccessful. It took me a while to try to find someone to help me and when I finally did, he wasn’t much help; I showed him the picture and he told me they didn’t have it and I said the website said that there 88 in stock, and after I said that then he decided to check on his device. He said they were in store, but he didn’t know where and just told me to check outside l, so I did I couldn’t find it. When I walked back in the store I came across another worker, Irma. I asked Irma if she knew where the umbrellas were and she said yes, but that it was going to take just a few minutes. Her and Octavio had to use the forklift and close a couple aisles to get the pallet from the top shelf. She got them down and gave one to me and I thanked them for taking the time to do that. They both went above and beyond to help and I greatly appreciate it.

if your doing gardening see John very helpful. Im writing this review because John help me load my cart and my car. I had knee surgery recently. And was having a hard time. But he came along and really helped me. Not many people who work in stores go above and beyond as this man did. Im very appreciative.

Home Depot has literally everything that you need. If you’re moving out, remodeling, to fix something literally anything, Home Depot has it. I also really love their plants too, they keep them so clean and they’re so grown. The cashiers are always really nice and they ask you if you found everything that you were looking for. I love this Home Depot! I’m for sure coming back again this month and next for my new house! Thank you Home Depot!!!

The Downey store is very clean and clean. All of the HD staff there are friendly and very helpful. I go there for every home repair jobs and shop for various items and sales.

Great customer service

Most of the customer service in ALL Home Depots is pretty AWFUL but the Downey store was a bit worse because I had some wood cut in the lumber department by one of your associates and once I got it to the job, realized the cuts were not even measurements. Needed 4, 14” cuts and got 14ish cuts. (Cuts varied from 12 3/4” to 14 1/2”) So annoying since it took about 30 min to find someone who could help me that was permitted to use the electric saw.

We had a great expierence, especially with one of your cashiers, His name is Brian. The tallest guy who works for you. He had a great Big smile on his face, and he was very helpful, Keep him forever. We will deffinately be coming back.

The store was clean, and easily to walk. The associates are very friendly, and I found the articles looking for.

Not many home depots around, some employees are nice. Nancy is great! However those girls at customer service are HORRIBLE. Do not send your parents alone they will turn them away and tell them to call the 1-800 number instead of helping you in store. Very disappointed and during the holidays too. Those girls need to find a different job since they hate theirs so much.
