Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Yes, the Pin Oak store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check the availability of the kits.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. Purchase them at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Our gift cards can be redeemed in-store or shop online with no additional fees.

Does The Home Depot Pin Oak offer Curbside Pickup?

Yes, you can pick up Curbside Orders from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. using The Home Depot App.

Select "Curbside with The Home Depot App" at checkout when you shop eligible Store Pickup items. We will let you know via email or text message when your order is ready at the store. Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID with you.

To pick up your Curbside Order:
1. Download The Home Depot App.
2. Before you get to the store, use the link in your "Ready for Pickup" text message or email to tell us in the app that you're on the way.
3. After you arrive, park in a designated Curbside Pickup space, which is typically located near the front of the store.
4. Check in through the app to tell us you're here.

Poor Customer Service
This location has really gone downhill in terms of customer service over the years – it is difficult to find someone who knows anything about their products as well as having someone other then me checkout. Today was another example. I went in the store on the way to work to get a product called Spray and Forget – it used to be in the roofing section but now it is not. I log into Home Depot with my phone, and their website tells me there are three jugs on Aisle 40, Bay 9 (the paint department). I walk to the other side of the store but there is none there, nor a slot with a tag saying it was supposed to be there, but there is a lot of things for stripping paint. There was a worker on this aisle dusting bottles and cans (seriously) in the shelves, and I asked her to help me. I received a mumbled reply I could barely understand but the gist of it was I would have to talk to the guy working behind the paint counter. There were four people in line looking very frustrated waiting for paint to be mixed. I am all for decreasing costs to help out the bottom line but this is ridiculous. It is not my first time to have the website say something was in a particular location and it is not, and it is not the first time I have experienced employees who don’t seem to care nor do they know where inventory is located.

    Get some cashiers
    There seem to be fewer and fewer employees. Most of the self-checkout is closed without 2 cashiers working. Check out time takes longer and longer. Other than that, this store is usually neat, clean, and well-stocked. Good season selection.

      Stay away from this store!!!
      The employee Daiveon and his coworkers had the worse customer service I have ever witnessed. He was rude, and allowed me to wait for several minutes before he even acknowledged me and the other guests! He looked like he was angry at the world! I would NEVER shop there again!!!!

          I just bought a pallet of concrete in this store and the loader has no skills to talk to customers talking to me like he doing me a favor after he took to long to load me the pallet has nerve to come and talk down to me

            terrible employees
            went to purchase a big job box for an employees truck. couldnt get any help with taking it up front or loading in in the truck. another customer ended up helping me. too many kids with poor attitudes. even the older employees gave me attitude when asked for help.

              I called and visited several Home depots before finding one that could help me rekey my lock. the employees at the Pin Oak location were so kind and helpful! Gary did a great job rekeying my lock with the added treat of showing and explaining the process. I enjoyed my visit! Everyone was helpful and had smiles on their faces.

                  Easy in/out.
                  Stock was what the app said it was. Friendly efficient staff. They haven't moved stuff around in awhile, so I can find things in same place every visit. Staff communicating, they move people around to keep lines short.
